The blog redesign was a challenging and interesting project. I was essentially tasked with creating an museum; a place where art can cycle through and continue to look good no matter what order they are sorted into, and with enough information on each post to convey the message of what the post is about. BambooHR posts a couple of times a week, so we needed to include multiple ways for a reader to be able to access the information they were looking for quickly.
BambooHR Hero Awards
In 2018, BambooHR hosted an event called BambooHR Summit, a weekend away for HR representatives to come and learn more about HR. I was tasked with creating the BambooHR Hero Awards, that were given out to various companies for their outstanding achievements in HR. They were laser engraved on wooden blocks.
Hygge
BambooHR's holiday party is an all-day event. We come early in the morning, grab our badges that have the agenda for the day printed on the back, and sit at our assigned tables. We have a few speakers come and tell us their inspirational stories, and we eat and fun together. This event is followed up in the evening with a nice dinner together with our +1s, and awards are given out to a few of the employees for their contributions to the company. I created everything for the event this year, including the invitation, name badges, table decorations, room signs, awards, dinner menu, and presentation slides. I went with an art deco theme this year, as a way to celebrate BambooHR's prosperity and the redesign of the product and marketing website this year.
